Consult invited to Contribute to |

Consult has been invited by the Conservative Party to feed directly into its Public Services Policy Review Process. Consult Chairman Mathew Page, Regions Officer Bethany Lightley and James Hunt were asked to present their initial findings from the project on ‘Better Teachers, Better Education’ to representatives from the Conservative Research Department and the Independent Policy Review Body for Public Services last month. After presenting its initial findings, Consult widened its brief to research a number of related points and issues. Following further research that is currently being conducted, Consult will be presenting these findings to the party shortly. Commenting on this development, Consult Chairman Matthew Page said: “This marks a vital step in Consults development. To be acknowledged, approached and invited to contribute to the shaping of future Conservative policy is both a huge privilege and opportunity for Consult... Advocating the role of younger people in policy development is vital to tackling voter apathy and giving tomorrow’s generation a meaningful remit in politics. This development proves that in addition to having the remit, younger people can also radically influence the future policy direction of the Party. These are exciting times for the project.” |
